What the edition is
Titanium does something aluminum cannot. Run a fiber laser across it at controlled power and you grow a thin oxide layer that produces color through interference. Not ink, not dye, not paint: the color is the metal.
That is the whole reason for this edition. It is a finish we can produce on our own equipment and that cannot be reproduced by a printer, a router, or a shop running a standard fiber laser.
Each plate will be individually numbered and the run will be small. Compatible with Valve’s Steam Machine, same magnetic fitment as the aluminum plates.
We are not going to promise a date. The aluminum line comes first, and this goes into production when the design and the marking process are where we want them.
